What we do

We make plans that enrich land and enrich people.

01 · First, we read the land

We want you to be able to make the selfish decision because what's right for the land is what's right for you and your checkbook.

We start with the fundamentals of your land and greater region. We look at the weather, soil, hydrology, and sunlight on your property.

Weather
Soil
Hydrology
Sunlight

We give you a document that presents the info in a narrative style that you can see the possibilities through. (We cite all our work at the back of the document so you can fact-check and get as detailed as you want.)

That's the groundwork. Here's where it gets big.

02 — The plan

From present day
to dream property.

Once we have the fundamentals, then we prepare a plan for you to get from present day to dream property, whether it's low budget, no time, DIY, contractors, backyard or sprawling enterprise

We find solutions to get you moving in the right direction.

A plan that learns

Plan Collect Learn Adapt

We intentionally design our plans to be feedback loops, so you don't get stuck with a plan that can't change.

As we begin working together, we will use information from you and the land to adjust the plans as we get more context, and as complex ecosystems make changes that are unpredictable.

We are fundamentally changing our relationship with the land and our ecosystems to one of mutual service and admiration, by making it so the decision that takes care of the ecosystem is the easiest decision and the one that takes care of you.

Have your cake and eat it too.

The ideas that make Quest End have formed inside me for years now. I never could stomach watching all the ways ecosystems were drained of their vitality, and I couldn't accept the view that humans were terrible, no-goods that were doomed to kill the Earth because of their lack of morality and caring. Quest End is my effort to help myself and others have their cake and eat it too.

Quest End is at the intersection of wild abundance and excitement with modern technologies, modern comforts, and capitalism. I believe that improving our land means making sure it improves the lives of others, and in doing so, a mutual relationship will begin to develop, and both will take care of each other.
